Jean-François flew twice aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis and once aboard Discovery for a total of 675 hours in space. With a professional career connected to NASA since 1992, Jean has served the NASA-JSC Astronaut Office. At Explorers Conference he will share his knowledge, experience and more specifically – what he believes helped him achieve his success so far.

Talk – To be an astronaut

There are several important factors that define what it takes to be an astronaut – such as having a taste of adventure, accepting the risk, working on complex tasks and last but not least living in camping-trip-like conditions. Jean-Francois will share his own experience of few thrilling space flights and give his insight into the future  private access to space.
